Introductory Course in Live Sports Production
One hundred and forty-seven hours to meet the people, the language, the systems and the decisions behind a live sports broadcast.
Overview
Most people watching a match have no idea how many decisions are being made, or by whom. The SPaaSmester is where that becomes visible. Across 147 hours you learn the broadcast lifecycle end to end and what each person in the chain is actually responsible for — producer, director, camera, graphics, audio, replay and transmission.
Video modules establish the essential vocabulary before each session, so mentor-led time is spent questioning, discussing and applying rather than listening. Recorded and simulated events become micro-labs where you see the workflow run, pause it, and understand why each call was made.
What you will learn
- The vocabulary of a live broadcast, so you can follow a production conversation
- The end-to-end workflow from venue to viewer

What you will be able to do
- Describe the full production chain and where each role sits within it
- Follow and contribute to a production briefing without needing translation
- Demonstrate foundational workflow literacy through assessed exercises
